Settings

Enables you to change ATP options for the active circuit window from the ATP Settings dialog box. Simulation, Output, format, Statistical switch and UM settings, Load flow, and Variables ($Parameters).

Run ATP, F2

Creates the ATP file with the same name as the circuit file (but extension ATP). Executes the default ATP command and sends the current ATP file as parameter. The ATP command is specified under the ATP Connection Wizard (F10) or under Toos|Options on the Preference. You do not have to select Make Names and Make File As first. If the user needs to do manual changes of the ATP file and run this, a new Command must be created (with the currect ATP file as parameter). The execution of ATP can be stopped by selecting this action (or with F2) once more (when the Run ATP menu is selected the icon in the toolbar turns into a Stop button). After executing ATP, ATPDraw examines the LIS file and displays any error or warning messages (if Auto-detect ATP errors is selected).

Run Plot, F8

Runs the Plot command from the Preference page with the current PL4 file.

Sub-process

List the three intermediate steps in the run ATP process; make node names, make ATP file, run ATP

Run ATP file:

Executes ATP with the current ATP file. This is useful when manual changes is made to the ATP file.

Make File As

Generates an ATP input file for the active circuit window. You will be asked to confirm the name of the file. Default filename is the same as that of the circuit file, but with '.atp' as extension. This option enables you to change the ResultDir.

Make Names

Generates node names for all nodes left blank in the active circuit window. Connected nodes are given the same name. You will be asked to confirm this operation.

Output Manager

Lists all (as far as possible) output requests in the project (including User specified and Additional cards) and allows the user direct access to the respective components. The Output Manager also includes a tool for choosing statistical tabulation with pu scaling and grouping. Introduced in version 5.4.

Edit ATP-File

Enables you to edit the ATP file. By default you will be using the built-in text editor, but you can specify your own favorite text editor on the Preferences page of the Tools Options dialog box.

View LIS-file

Enables you to edit the current LIS-file.

Find Node

Search for a specific node name in the entire circuit (including sub groups). The node in question is centered on the screen and the name is drawn in cyan color. To get back from a sub-group, select Edit|Edit circuit (Ctrl+H) to pop one position upward. Repeat if required.

Find ext node

Continue the search for a node name.

Find variable

Search for a components using a specific variable

Find next variable

Continue to search for next component using the variable

Optimization

Module  for multi-dimentional, constraint optimization of a cost function based on circuit variables. Supports Gradient Method, Genetic Algorithm, and Simplex Annealing. Requires a cost function of type Models|WriteMaxMin and declared circuit variables under ATP|Options/Variables. Introduced in version 5.6.

Line Check

Are enabled whenever components are selected (from version 3.8). Can be used to test a line or cable (3, 6, and 9 phases). Envokes a module that uses ATP to calculate the series impedance and shunt admittance in the positive and zero  sequence system in addition to the avarage mutual coupling between circuits. The user can control the input and output nodes and specify the power frequency for the calculation. The files LineCheck.dat/lis are produced in the LCC-directory.

Setup ATP, F10

Shows the ATP connection Wizard where the user can specify the ATP solver (ATP_Command) and the execution mode. This is new in v6.1 and it expands the Tools|Options/Preferences setting with control of the ATPDIR environment variable containing the path of ATP and a better Hidden mode control. With this option no bat-file is needed (but it is possible still for backward compatibility reasons) and tpbig.exe can be used directly.

Edit commands

Enables you to specify executable files (*.exe or *.bat) to run from the ATP menu. The specified commands will appear as menu items below Edit commands.
