The circuit is divided into an invisible 10000x10000 grid matrix; one grid point for each tenth circuit point. When an object is positioned, it is automatically aligned to the nearest grid point. This operation is known as gridsnapping. The grid can be made visible under View|Options/Circuit-Grid points.
